Golden Gate Bridge Tolls
Bridge Toll for cars and 2-axle vehicles: $6.00 ($5.00 with FasTrak)
Bridge Toll for Qualified Persons with Disability: $3.00 (2-axle vehicles only)
Vehicles with 3 axles: $9.00 ($7.50 with FasTrak)
For information on larger vehicles, click here for the Bridge District site.
See also our page with information about FasTrak.
Carpools (New Charges July 1, 2010)
Starting July 1, 2010, Carpools cross for half price ($3.00) on the Golden Gate Bridge under certain conditions:
Which Lanes: You cannot use the FasTrak lanes and get the $3.00 fare, since the computer can't count the passengers in your car. You must go through a lane with a toll taker, who will punch in a code so your FasTrak is only charged $3.00.
Who is eligible: Vehicles with three or more persons, and Motorcycles.
What you have to have: You must have a FasTrak transponder. You cannot pay $3 in cash to the toll taker and get the carpool rate -- paying cash will cost you the usual $6.00.
When it's $3.00: 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM weekdays, except on New Year's Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
What if I drive a two-seater? You have to pay the usual toll.
What if I'm driving a truck? If it has two axles and four tires, you qualify. If it has more than two axles or if you have rear axle dual tires you can't qualify as a carpool.

What if I have one of these white clean air stickers? You get to cross the Bridge as if you were a carpool and get the discount.

What if I have one of these yellow clean air stickers? You have to pay a normal toll unless you have three or more people in your vehicle..
