After July 30, 2010, the old $25, $50 and $75 "Value Card" commuter bus passes for travel across the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco will be dropped by Golden Gate Transit, and all the old passes will lose their value. If you have a Value Card in your wallet or desk drawer, make sure you use it up in June and July!
For future discounts you will need to use Clipper (which used to be called TransLink) to receive the discounted fare. You can open a Clipper account on the Clipper - TransLink website or buy a card at many local retailers.
If you're a Marin bus rider and don't go into the City your Marin Transit Local $18 and $36 Value Cards and Local Period Passes (daily, weekly and monthly) will still be available and retain their value. These cards and passes are for travel within Marin County only and won't get you over the Golden Gate Bridge.
Information about Golden Gate Transit fares is on this page of their website.
